CONTEK® RNH is a light mass (?=2.1 g/cm3) with a high hydrogen (H) level in its structure (estimated about 2%)and enriched with Boron (B) (10%). Both elements give it a high shielding ability against neutron radiation. A high Hydrogen content allowing to moderate the power of incident neutrons, which once these have been thermalized they are captured by Boron atoms of mass.

Photonics radiation can also be reduced although it has not been expressly designed for this purpose. Thus in table 2 are TVL thicknesses at different energies and their comparative with lead.
